Perl 6 strings are NFG (Normal Form Grapheme). In this session, I'll talk about the three levels of Unicode (bytes, codepoints, and graphemes), and show how working at the grapheme level allows Perl 6 to cheaply Do The Right Thing where other languages struggle.
